Ag in the Classroom
The Edwards County Ag in the Classroom (AITC) program exists to teach the community about the importance of agriculture in one’s life, as well as, how food we eat is grown/raised.
Our purpose is implemented through classroom presentation at Albion Grade School, Wells Elementary, and West Salem Grade School; booths at community fairs and festivals, school’s out programs, field trips, and teacher workshops.
The AITC is partially funded through a grant from the IAA Foundation, with matching funds from our community.
Programs
Programs conducted by the AITC include:
Autumn AgVenture
4th Grade Safety Day
Beginner Safety Day
FFA in-school presentations
Numerous classroom presentations
Summer Ag Institute
If you are interested in allowing us the opportunity to give a presentation to your club, civic organization, or classroom, contact Jane Jones.
